If you've ever written anything "negative" or "critical" about PRC / CCP China, on any of your social media platforms, you'd better not be making any trips to Big China (and MAKE NO MISTAKE, Hong Kong is NOT a "1 Country – 2 Systems" territory of Big China anymore; the CCP have FULL control over its policing, government, and judiciary), as there are now laws on the books in The PRC that can put you in jail for simply posting a critical opinion of the CCP and its autoritarian state, from ANYWHERE in the world. No BS; look it up, if you need to. PLENTY of WAY better Asian destinations to choose from: Taiwan, R.OC. (Little China – the FREE AND DEMOCRATIC one!), The Philippines (just get out of the mess of Manila, into some provincial resort areas, or simply rustic island and mountain hopping!), Borneo Malaysia, Jeju Island, South Korea, or Bali Island, Indoenesia. NO REASON to go to Big China, whatever the sign on the door is reading (Hong Kong or Macau). If you insist on the "Chinese" cultural experience, then go to Taiwan, and you'll have it covered, while being safe and free at the same time.
wow, this video is really well-made and gives a great overview of Hong Kong! I appreciate all the tips and beautiful visuals. that said, I gotta say, I think the best parts of Hong Kong aren’t always the touristy places highlighted here. the local neighborhoods and street food experiences really capture the city's essence, don’t you think?
