i really enjoyed this video! the visuals are stunning and it definitely makes me want to visit Iceland. however, i have to wonder if all the hype around Iceland being a must-visit destination is overblown? i mean, is it really that unique compared to other beautiful places in Europe? just curious what others think!

As of January 2025, the population is 372,000, with about 22,000 Polish nationals who have come for work. There are also Thailand and Vietnamese nationals, also who have come for work, mostly in the fishing industry. Iceland has a substantial lamb industry, and Joe and the Juice (of all things) franchaises. Great wool, wool felt, art, chocolate, and bread. It's not as windy as people claim, and I've been there multiple times. Iceland Air has a "stopover" program, where you can have a 1 – 7 day layover, en route to your final destination, but price out individual and multi city options, as they sometimes work out to save, but sometimes, it's better to book separate flights. Choose the "flex" option for fully refundable tickets. Safe community, and English language speakers, but learn a few phrases in the native language. Less expensive than NYC, but then again, almost everywhere (except Switzerland) is.

This video is very dated, as it explores European settlement, but does not address the native peoples that travelled there beforehand, or the languages, dialect, and conditions of the Pre-Western eras.

BEWARE: expedia is the worst travel company they changed a rental car selection from midway to mex rent a car who then asked me for full coverage even though I had personal and Citi world-elite executive full coverage car insurance they wanted $30 day for their own insurance they said they refund my $600 week for a vw instead kept the money…
I have filed a criminal police report and have dispute as they didn't rent a car which I paid for not a $600 reservation.
    Scam~!
