If there was one city I prefer to go on vacation in New Zealand it's their capital city Wellington. I don't know very well about Auckland but Wellington is the only city I know a lot about because when I was a kid I grew up in a capital city and learning a lot about different countries always learn what are their capital cities.
Would love to go their on my next trip. Looks like a nice city that is not too cosmopolitan.
