The reason this country has more tourism than any other Latin American country is due to the corruption of lawyers, army, police of high rank. Many Germans have gotten in deep trouble, only to pay thousands to the prosecutor, defense attorney, police, army and judge to make all go away according to the diplomatic sources in the Dominican Republic. Why don't you tell them instead that if they get into trouble, the system will milk the Germans out of their money (Department of Foreign Affairs Dominican Republic corruption et al, 165f). I give you an example: Five German men, were staying in the resort in Punta Cana accompanied by "nice girls with big smiles" who worked at the hotel, claimed that she was gang raped by these tourists. The police was called, all of German tourist went to jail. The next day, they went before a judge who said: "You people think that you can come to our country and do whatever you want", the German guys were approached by "Their attorney" and said "If you give me ten thousand Euro, I can pay the prosecution and this can all go away", The German guys laughed, and said no. They called the German Consulate, which could not do a thing because they were at the mercy of the main judge in La Romana. It ended up that 15,000 Euro went out of their pocket for attorney fees, and another five thousand for the girl "pain and suffering". Why you do not warn them that many in the hotel, according to FBI investigation when they went to the Dominican Republic upon the dead of ten Americans staying in Punta Cana, could not do a thing to prosecute any of the people at the hotel, and the hotel has high lawyers to get rid of this problem, money, that most tourist do not have. Why don't you tell them that According to Human services, child exploitation, and the FBI, Dominican intelligence source, the Dominican Republic has more tourism than any other country in Latin America because their interest is to bring money to the country than protect children from sexual exploitation. Or how 8.5 million dollars of the Dominican Republic revenue is sex tourism according to the diplomatic sources. Why don't you tell them that on the beach sand are a parasite that enter through your foot, and the patient do not know until months later according to doctors, and many Dominicans born and raised in the Dominican Republic unbeknown to them are carrier of this parasite which stays in your spinal cord undetected. This has been detected in the USA when family members want to donate an organ to a family member. For all of those who are planning to go, go at your own risk! U.S. Embassy and Department of State has warning discouraging Americans and especially American soldier to travel to the Dominican Republic, now other embassies in Latin American are following suit. Every year at least ten bodies are flown to Germany after the bodies are manipulated by a "Pathologist" in the Dominican Republic to erase any evidence of foul play. What is worse, the German authorities do not warn citizens before they go on vacation. How about this group of German on vacation who were approached by "nice" women, these women took them to a bar during the night at the resort in Sosua. After the girls got intel from the guys (how much money they were carrying, their valuables etc…)at about one in the morning, according to witnesses, six guys grabbed them, beat the German tourist, some of them had broken bones, and took everything they had.

    These German tourists called the police, who arrested all the injured German, or the victims. No! have not misread, the victims were arrested! The people who beat the crap out of German men, sued the Germans. These German called their embassy and consulate who did nothing! Like always, this corrupted system, milked money out of the young men to pay their lawyers, prosecution, police etc. Since they had travel insurance, they paid a great sum of money to the clinic nearby. These young men did not finish their vacation, the took the first flight to Germany. All of these German victims do not report this crime to German authorities who can keep a record of crimes against German citizens in the Dominican Republic. According to sources in the hotel security police, German, and other European tourist's bodies are washed to the shore, with obvious signs of foul play. The answer from the Department of Tourism and other sources is always the same, "it is under investigation", but never anyone is prosecuted. Many European people tell you "The Dominican people are the friendliest, always smiling". As an Intel officer I will tell you, be wary of people you do not know personally. Most people like these are grooming you, disarming you, gaining your trust in exchange of tips, and offer to take you to places. If you decide to go, try to have minimal contact with people no matter how "nice and friendly they are", do not drink anything you did not see prepared. Do not drink any alcohol from bottles that have been opened. Lastly know that whiskey, rum, brandy and other alcohol beverages, including Presidente beer is made exclusively for the resorts with low alcohol content NOT what the bottle said, according to trusted sources. Cheap alcohol, sex is what brings the money to the resorts. Lastly, there are many Germans wanted by the German laws for tax evasion, sex with minors’ crimes, and murder who went under the radar to the Dominican Republic. These German criminals owns brothels in Sosua, work making high paying jobs as "engineers" in La Romana, and other places in the Island. These German criminals tell authorities that they are "Engineers". The Dominican take them for their word without doing investigation, or any background check, or even asking them to see their university transcripts. In the USA, to be called an engineer requires: Accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology. Accredited master’s degree. or an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) or an accredited integrated master’s degree. You never see German aristocrats, diplomats, or professionals (Ma, PHD degrees) in Punta Cana, La Romana, or North of the country. You find them in the Capital. When these diplomats go on vacation, they go to the private resort which has hotels, villa, beaches. Dominicans do not work there, only Americans with security clearance working for them at good wages like the USA. This private resort is unknown to the Dominican people. Dominican women are often stereotyped by the tourist, they judge the women according to what they saw at the resorts. Most descent Dominican families, live in Santo Domingo in exclusive neighborhood, near all the embassies. When they vacation, they go to Casa de Campo, Paris, The Riviera, Lisbon, and others. These women, leave their houses, get in their cars with their chauffeur, go where they need to go, and return home. When you see them out, they are accompanied by their father, brothers, and other male family members. Having said all this, every one of you German, European, American people work too hard, pay a few dollars more and go to a place where is safe. The world is big and yours, choose wisely and do not go to German tourists’ offices to buy your vacation, for these places are out to make their commission, hence, looking out for themselves. God gave us, especially women, senses to smell deceit, danger. Follow your instincts if you decide to go to the DR.
