My wife and I had an awesome trip to Kauai. Best tip Polihale beach state park, 5 miles of rough roads, a 4×4 vehicle is a must but very much worth it. One of the most beautiful beaches we saw in Kauai. VERY IMPORTANT make sure you document your car rental return; we received an invoice saying our car was returned two days late (crazy). Luckly, I took a picture of the fuel and mileage it was time stamp on my phone showing it was returned on time, we also sent them a picture of our boarding pass. We have since heard horror stories of cars “not being returned” and reported as stolen by the car rental companies out of Lihue airport. Please be aware and happy trails 😊

I went to this island with my Boy Scout Troop 223 and stayed at least one week.
This island has the best hiking trails in the state of Hawaii.
